Netherwood hosts several tennis events and parties throughout the season, often raising money for local scholarships or other local-based charities. Netherwood members give back to the community!
Weekly Round Robins & Drills
Members and guests at Netherwood Tennis Club enjoy weekly round robins, drills and open doubles.
Schedules for round robins and drills varies from one season to the next, so check back in April to see what’s planned for 2024.
In 2023, ladies drilled with famed tennis pro Janice, Tuesday mornings from 9:30 – 11:30 and often hung around for snacks and to play mahjong.
Tuesdays and Thursdays one can enjoy afternoon open doubles from 4pm until ??? Both men and women, members and guests are welcome!
Special Tennis Events & Charity Tournaments
Netherwood has several annual special tennis events and tournaments. Members and guests may register for the events, including food, music, dancing, a solid game of dominoes, and various tricky-tray style raffles.
Annual events:
April: Opening Day & New Member Welcome
June: Pretty In Pink: Ladies’ doubles
July: Wimbledon Whites. Enjoy a summer party and men’s, ladies’, and mixed doubles
August: Junior Jamboree. Members and guests under 18 come together for great tennis.
September: Westry G. Horne Memorial Tennis Classic – Mens, ladies, and mixed doubles tournament.
October: Clash of the Clays – a multi-club tournament to see who brings home the banner!
